Below is the brief that I chose for this professional project:

FdA Assignment Brief

Course: Fashion Promotion Year: Two Term: Autumn/Spring

Assignment: Fashion Promotion

Project Title: Recession Reactionary

Aims:
To develop creative visual communication skills
To research market trends and consumer research
To promote new exciting and creative design

Introduction:
Are we at the end or the beginning? More Dash than Cash, Eco Warriors,
Sustainable Chic, Make Do and Mend contrasts with Bling Couture, Halcyon
Days and Hedonistic High Fashion.
Looking at retail trends, market research and consumer reaction to the current
recession analyse and predict which direction we are heading towards next?
Research catalogues, brochures, look books and campaigns; companies will
always need magazines to help them display their product to its full
advantage. Fashion magazines are a valuable marketing tool for all
designers, labels and brands. They are part of the main advertising strategy
for any growing or successful label and the creativity used to record and
display their visual information, which is paramount to any successful
advertising campaign.

Brief: Recession Reactionary Images
You should create an inspiring 4 – 6 page fashion editorial for a magazine of
your choice that will become part of your own promoters portfolio. It can
include interviews with up and coming designers, product features (fashion
related), brand advertising, a styled photo shoot etc.

Research and collect images. You are encouraged to look at all areas to
inform your story idea for the magazine and look for inspiration from all
aspects of life to help build and create your story. Use this collection to
develop and inspire narrative and concept, and to help invent an original
approach to creating your magazine editorial. Try not to use imagery from the
